Jay moved to England from Toronto originally to pursue his interest in medieval architecture and sculpture. A pursuit which was ultimately fulfilled when he was given the commission to sculpt all the new figures on Salisbury Cathedral.
His sculpture explores a relationship between our built and natural environments. A language which examines an ability to reorder our natural environment to our own advantage.
